Work Party Report 04Mar2012
Mar 4th, 2012 at 4:58pm

We had our second work party of the year and it was once again a great success.
Despite the poor weather conditions, we had a great turn out once again. About 20 people attended including 8 from the WCMA, and several vintage members came out. Those 2 groups alone, actually out- numbered SCCBC members. So a big thanks to them and the WCMA guys don’t even get any work credits!

Here are the highlights of the progress:

1. We built a new tire wall for T3 drivers left.
2. We scraped the gravel out of inside and outside of T6 in preparation for pavement grindings.
3. The tires got put back into place in T5.
4. Branches from trees all got piled ready to pu along straight before T1.
5. Leaves got cleaned off track T3-T5.
6. Pavers got installed in T1.
7. Pre grid got tidied up in preparation for paving/fencing/driver training.
8. PA system got shelf complete and put into place.
9. Timing and scoring got most of the finish work completed from wall move.
10. And lastly most of the needed new turn worker stations got completed and placed.
11. Also the blocks between T4 and T6 got straightened out.

We had a nice pizza lunch in the clubhouse, and everyone had a great time despite the sometimes rainy day.
A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who attended, and your efforts are very much APPRECIATED! Smiley
Now we are looking like we are back on track to being ready for the upcoming season. There is still much work to do, and we will very likely have one more work party.
