Stuff from the weekend
Jun 29th, 2015 at 6:33am

Thanks to all the volunteers from the weekend it was mostly fun .
Just a couple of things for delegation .
The Meta truck is not starting  [ turns over but wont fire]
The strobes are still not working properly [ some not at all ]
On the safety 3 truck the pump / fan belts need replacing [ I believe Don is picking up the belts ]
Again great work from the entire Team in the heat this weekend
I would help on these but time and distance prevents this sorry

Thanks Bob!

Also, as many of you who were at the track probably noticed, the live timing fed was not working again. We've been having a lot of challenges with the system since the Randall Building was moved and John  and I have worked pretty hard at resolving all the issues and we finally did on Sunday morning.

We have added another WAP (Wireless Access Point) to the West end of Race Control facing the grandstands to provide better coverage in that direction. We have also replaced some flakey networking gear in Race Control that was causing several issues for us. After mounting the Registration antennas about 5 feet higher (line of sight was blocked by trailers in the paddock), re-configuring our primary router and making a few other tweaks, we got everything working at about 10:30 AM on Sunday. We also managed to resolve an issue with the uploads to MyLaps so all of the results are posted now.

Enjoy!

Marc Ramsay is one more of our "unsung heros". Few people realize how much work Marc does behind the scenes. Never complains or asks for anything in return.
Thank you Marc.
