Track Operations Committee
UPDATE
Current as at July 17, 2000

Here is the summary for our June 17 work party…

We had a very good work party yesterday with 20 people out.
Gary Koehn and his sons came out with his boom truck and worked on installing the bigger speakers and re-stringing the speaker wire along the back of the paddock.  Curt Storms and a crew that included Tony Morris Jr., Chris Whelan, Dave Stenner, Dave Bell from META, Kris Jankovic, Rob Dunlop and John Paul Clinging got the main grandstand finished.

Fidel Kunz
, Chris Doodson, Brian Lougheed and Bryan Helevang completed all the weed removal between Turn 1 & Turn 5.  Hugh Richards, Perry Afaganis and Jason Bell got the window installed into the clubhouse.  The locks were changed by Jason Bell who also prepped the back office door for cutting.

Al Ores was there to man the gate as there was a BC Custom Car event that day.  Terry Ward was also out to meet with the paving contractor.  Hopefully this week they can continue the road building (weather permitting).  Rick Payne is willing to bring out a Bobcat in the evening during the week to move fill around the site where it['s needed.  There is also the option of renting one from Arnold's Rentals if required.

All in all we had a pretty good day, and should be in pretty good shape for the upcoming race weekend (July 29/30).

Just a small report on Saturday's (July 15) work party…

We had a disappointing turnout, only five members plus
Terry Ward and myself.  Bryan Helevang rented a walk behind brush clearer and worked in the new track area.  Everyone else worked on tire bundle construction.  On Tuesday we are going back out to work on tires again.  We are going to try to get in a few mid-week nights because the weekend schedule is so tight.
