I'll be there with the souped up Whitey.
ORP is such a great track, like Mission but Mission put into Photoshop and morphed . . . by a drunken crazy person! |

I love ORP! I've been there a total of 9 days so far. I'm addicted to that track! 8) Pics of your race weekend are up: http://cs-photography.smugmug.com/Motor-Sports/Oregon-Raceway-Park-Grass/14035959_QdPjC#1032959976_RcewF |

Are the white pylons made of styrafoam? I'm assuming those are brake markers, or, possibly for racing in the snow.

Yes, they are brake markers, but I like the idea of driving this in the snow. :) I forget what they are made of (I asked the track manager about them because in person they look like concrete!), but they are harder than styrofoam so they will probably dent your car if you hit them. Running CW like the race weekend did isn't a problem, but running CCW there are a couple places where the brake markers are directly in line with your car if you go in too hot and track out too far and go off. Right now the track isn't certified to race CCW so it's only HPDE guys who might "run into" this problem. :) |
