Either, or.. Where do you plan on racing, mostly? If you're sticking with Mission for now, get a CACC license. If you want to race in Seattle, Portland, ORP, Spokane (and Mission..), get an ICSCC license. Both will work, but you need a CACC license to get points in our regional championship and an ICSCC license to get points in Conference. If you don't care about the points, I think CACC is cheaper and the novice program is shorter ;D

That would be the correct form, but don't foget you'll need the medical forms as well. http://caccautosport.org/pdf/2011CACCASNMedicalSelfDeclaration.pdf and http://caccautosport.org/pdf/2011CACCASNMedicalForm.pdf

As the husband of the CACC Licince registrar I would plead that you pay special attention to the checklist on the application form. Ensure you submit all the required info. I cannot believe some of the incomplete applications that get sent in, by newbies and senior racers. I have to question whether there are some out there on the track that shouldn't be. If you don't have the ability to follow a few procedures and fill out some simple forms, then I really question your ability to guide a piece of high performance machinery around the track at speed and make the right split second decisions :-/
Do it right the first time. |

Don't know which form you're looking at, but here's the CACC License application:
http://www.caccautosport.org/pdf/2011RaceVintageInstructorsLicenseApp.pdf Doesn't ask for any experience that I can see.. And it DOES ask you for a completed ASN Medical form! Either way, I assume you are aware that you do need some "experience" to apply for a Novice license, in the form of Driver Training :) |

As the form states, Senior, vintage or renewing novices need to provide proof of experience in the form of official race result sheets or copy of Race drivers log book pages. Brand new Novices will not have any of those, so they must provide a copy of their Race School Certificate.
