Title: Newbie needs everything Post by RodDavison on Sep 8th, 2011 at 4:22pm
I'm planning to get started racing next season and am hoping, during the off season, to pick up most of the stuff I'm going to need.
Car (I'm currently thinking a Spec Miata would be ideal). Trailer (big enough to carry a Miata and some tires). Helmet - average size head for a man. Suit (I'm 5'10 185lbs). Shoes (size 9.5-10) Gloves - medium That ought to get me started! Thanks, Rod. |

Was asked to relay a message from Roman @ 604-338-4082 - he has a race car for sale.

Hey Rob. Welcome to the game. Check out Overseas Auto for race wear.
I have a 1985 Mazda RX7 here that is a race car from the past that needs some work, but it would be a fine example for you. |

I am considering changing trailers. I haul my spec miata on a single axle tilt trailer. It has 2 year old axles, drums, brakes, surge brake hitch as well as new tires and spare. Give me a call Norm 604 551 5266 |

Update:
I just picked up a Spec Miata (thanks, Tracey and Tom). Now I just need everything else, the big items are: - a seat - a transponder - a tow vehicle (prefer something like a turn of the century 4runner, pathfinder or tribute) - trailer - all the personal safety equipment I'm in with both feet now! |

For the seat and your personal equipment try Driver's Edge. Good quality, FIA approved stuff.
