This is a call out for track officials/volunteers for this coming race weekend.
As this weekend coincides with the event in Long Beach, we will be short track officials.
Please, if you are not racing and you would like to see the other side of our great sport, tell your friends, crew family members that there is a special place for them trackside this weekend.

Don't we have 15 novices this weekend? That's mentioned elsewhere on this forum. Since those folks need to spend some time at the corners, this would be a propitious time to get that done.

I can't be there in the morning, but if make it to Mission before the lunch break is over, I'll help out at a corner.. I'm sure Sunday will be covered with the novices, but they probably won't be able to help much on Saturday, Mike..

I'm aware of that.

But, now is the time to sign 'em up for Sunday.

There will be several races this year that coincide with pro races elsewhere. Many of our most experienced volunteers will be attending those events. Any weekend that you find you are unable to race I would encourage you to volunteer, you may find that you will learn something that improves your driving.

I do recommend spending some time at the corners.. It's pretty cool! Bring some snacks, you'll be there a while, but time flies when you're waving flags :)

Lets just say some drivers have interesting lines through some turns, and occasionally you get to see some really brain dead maneuvers while flagging. I'm sure more than one driver after a race has asked themselves "what was I thinking?"
