I thought we've done this enough times in the past that all of our veteran CACC drivers would remember that they need to register a 700 series number if they are driving in an ICSCC event with a CACC license, but apparently I was wrong.

Very few of you have done it. If you are once of the forgetful many, you have until tomorrow to update your numbers on your registration. After that you will get the snarky email. :)

700 series numbers are first come first served.

As there aren't any points for novice races does the rule apply to them also?

I ran this event last year as a Novice, and had to have a 7 in front of my number.

700 series numbers are for SENIOR non-ICSCC license holders ONLY.

ALL ICSCC Novice's must have 300-400 series numbers.

I am waiting to hear back from the ICSCC Steward & license director to see if they want non-ICSCC Novices to also have 300-400 series numbers.

Rule change, or someone just made an error?

I ran both labor daze novice races last  year and I also had a 700 number , with an orange square to designate novice driver .

OK so the official word from ICSCC is that they would like CACC Novice's to use 700 series numbers.  This way they they know that it's a CACC novice and not actually a Senior ICSCC driver thrown into that group as an observer.

So yeah.....same as last year.

I had to email 39 drivers today regarding their numbers. I may have to set up a 'Special' lane for those drivers at registration... :)
