In an effort to keep the membership better informed on the business of the club, the rest of the Executive and I are pleased to inform you that the November 13th club meting will streamed live over the internet.  We realize that it's not possible for many of our members to physically attend a club meeting.  By offering this video feed, our hope is that you will have a better understanding of the business of growing our club.

As this is the first time in our history that we are attempting this, there will naturally be bugs to work out.  To that effect, I am asking anyone who wishes to partake in this initial BETA test broadcast, to please email me BEFORE 3:00 PM WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 13, advising me of such.  I will respond to your email with a private link so that you can view the meeting, with sound, on your browser.  This will be a one-way broadcast, so yes...you can watch in your PJ's if you wish!

As we progress with this endeavor, it is my hope that we can eventually enable features such as live polling, video presentations and other things to these broadcasts.  But we must walk before we run, so lets take this one step at a time.

Again, you must email me prior to the above mentioned cutoff time if you wish to experience history in the making.

From someone who was at the meeting it seemed like it went well.  I'd be interested to know what people who tried to watch online thought.

Worked well for me on my Macbook using Safari browser. I think some people using older versions of Windows had some trouble getting video and/or sound.

One thing though, as Steve H. kind of mentioned, is we cannot hear people who don't have a mic. So questions or comment from the "gallery" could not be heard for the most part.
Maybe a second mic that can be passed around..or an ambient mic would work?

Other than that, it was great!  :)

Yes those with Mac's or current versions of Windows had no trouble.  We will work to see if we can increase the compatibility for the next one, but I would suggest updating your software if you intend to take part in this technology.

We had a second mic, but for some reason it was interfering with the main mic.  This issue will be resolved prior to the January meeting.

I'll admit that I missed it....but did have a chance last night to view the you tube version....great job....a parabolic mic works great for small gatherings. The video quality was also really good. Good job all. Thanks Doug.
