Title: Dry June Post by ReEntry Racer on Jun 4th, 2014 at 9:16am
No Mission racing in June and the season is alreay short.
There are lots of other tracks holding events in June, but I was thinking of the SCCA Triple Rose Cup Race at PIR (13th-15th) and/or the SCCA Double Regional at Thunderhill the next w/e (21st-22nd). Are there others planning to go to either of these? |

There will be at least a couple of familiar Spec Miatas at PR too.

OK! I'll put that on my list. I haven't raced at PR since 1999! Really! :-[

There are several you tube postings on the gt-racecar.com website, under the GTLite section, from the recent SCCA Major's race there. Good, recent footage of the track. And unforunately, also the qualifying 'incident'. Several local GT guys were there, the track shows off quite well. Look it up for a reference to current conditions.

I was watching Jim's unfortunate incident and noticed all that nice new pavement from turn 8 onwards. That must be such a vast improvement to race on.
How's the car Jim? |

A few of us are going down for the Friday June 13 practice day, too. Should be fun.

The new pavement in Turn 8 and onto front straight is very grippy but there is just a little bump at the transition back to the old pavement on the front straight. Just keep it floored !

Looks like we are going to have a good turnout of formula fords this weekend 14 cars registered hopefully a few more before the weekend.
Now we just need the weather Gods to be on our side :) |

PR is such a fun track! The new pavement seems to have helped the Vees go almost 2 seconds faster..
I love T2 :D Have fun down there folks, 14 Fords should make for an awesome race! |
