Title: No Thursday Move-ins for ICSCC weekend
Post by Forum Admin on Aug 26th, 2014 at 7:06pm
We've had some questions regarding early move-in for the Mission race this weekend.  Unfortunately, due to a track rental that will tie up the track and paddock until late Thu night, we cannot open it up for move-ins on Thursday night.

We will be opening up the track earlier on Friday at 7:30 AM for move-ins.

Sorry for an inconvenience this may cause.

I think you should be there at 06:00 to let the line up in. It's going to be a cluster f--- friday.  ;)

Speak of cluster-f&^%$. The paddock allocations were a nightmare, but I think they're done after about 10 hours worth of work.

If I hear one complaint about who's where I may lose it!

A lot of drivers who are used to being on the back row are on row 3 this weekend. Pretty much nothing under 27 feet on row 4. I should be there early on Friday to help with any questions or issues arising from the allocations.

Is there a Paddock Map available online?

Did you mean paddock map or paddock allocations for this weekend.
Paddock map is under 'calendar' on the main page.
Allocations are posted here.

We've had a couple of last minute cancellation so the paddock allocations will change a little bit. Please check with the main gate on your way in tomorrow for the final list.

Thanks to everyone who came out and raced this weekend. It was an awesome weekend with some great racing and big grids. Also thanks to everyone for their patience on Saturday with the late start and timing systems failures that put us way behind schedule.

We had our primary timing computer fail, as well as the UPS it was attached to. We also had generator issues. We had it all worked out by later in the day, didn't lose any results, and everything ran smoothly on Sun and Mon.

Back at it in 2 weeks!

:)

SCCBC should put a big insurance policy on you in case you fall down or something! There would be a need to hire at least 3 people to attend to the stuff you seem to handle with ease!
:) :)

Thanks Bob and Larry.

This does bring up a big issue for me. With Perry moving back to Edmonton, and Rick now in Calgary, I only have John Cathy from the Motorcycle club to back me up. He did a great job covering the VRC HMR a few weeks ago when I was out of town, but he can only do a few weekends a year.

We desperately need someone else with some computer skills to get trained up on our timing systems who can cover for me when I'm not around. More importantly, I want to race too and can't if I'm the only one who can run the systems. John has volunteered to come out and help me next race so I can run a couple of sessions in Grandma's Honda, but I need another person.

If anyone knows a techy type who likes motor sport and wants to get involved, please let me know. Training is free and there are a few perks. :)
