I've recently purchased a 1970/71 Datsun 510 Race Car. I'm looking to find out if anyone recognizes it.  I've been in contact with many in the community and they've all mentioned that this is worth a shot.

I've determined so far that is was in a 7hr endurance race on Oct 7, 1989.  Not 100% sure who the driver was (guessing it was the owner at the time, Rod Stacey).

I really curious if it's heritage goes back further.

I've made contact last evening with the Driver/Constructor of the car last night.

I made some phone calls on Friday, and I received a call back last night. I'll be hopefully getting more information soon, that I may need verification from the community on.

Some of the long term members of the SCCBC must remember this car. I issued the log book for it in 1989. 25+ years and too many cars to remember them all.
Wade could maybe jog my memory if he posted the original driver/owner name.

Driver/Owner was Rod Stacey of Nanaimo, BC.

Try to contact. Ian Mackie. He is a 510 racer from the island. Sorry don't have any contact info handy.

I've made contact on Monday with Rod. 
I'll take your advise and see if I can contact Ian.
Did not have a lot of time to chat then, but Rod is open to speaking more.
