In what SCCBC class would it be legal and would it be reasonably competitive in that class?

I do not run any SCCBC classes. It is a legal ICSCC EIP car or you can say a legal SCCA EP car. Check out the specs required to run a Mazda 1986 13B EP in SCCA and compare it to the class you want to compete in a SCCBC class or classes. My second class in ICSCC is SPM. I only enter that class for getting more seat time and working out changes on the car. From your research you can decide which class you want to put it in. As far as winning in a certain class that is up to you in terms of set up and driving better than the other guy. Take the time and do your home work.

I did not know that the SCCBC had taken over classing cars from CACC, SCCA or ICSCC.

As far as I know all other bodies of racing conform to what SCCA sets as a standard in North America then they spin off a bit from there on their own. Such as EIP in ICSCC is the same as  EP for the SCCA. If you look at ICSCC book it refers to the SCCA standards. Classes such as RS (Radial Sedan) in ICSCC is a spin off of EP FP but running radials no sl;icks, plus they added in a weight system to balance the larger cc cars over the smaller ones. I ran RS and back in the day all the cars were close. Datsun, Mazdas, BMW, Porsch we all ran together, but over time it pittered out.

The system is set up so what ever car you want to run. Over time the rules in racing have been formed  to keep the cars equal. In this way if you have a 13B RX7 you can run in EP or EIP up against a BMW or Porsch 944 and every one has a chance  to win. Some days I kicked ass and others not so well. Thats racing.

Posted on ICSCC classified as well. I'm curious if you still have this for sale? I live in North Idaho, but I'm just getting into road racing but have no race car! I'm not new to the FC3S and would love for it to be my first platform. Let me know. :)
