Title: 2016 Cascade Festival of Endurance
Post by Forum Admin on Sep 12th, 2016 at 5:41am
Hi everyone,

Cascade's 2016 Festival of Endurance is fast approaching!  There are a few new things going on this year so here are those.  First, Cascade is offering a tow allowance equal to 20 percent of the entry fee for teams that tow from outside of Oregon or Washington.  This is for any or all of the three races being offered which means the discount is anywhere from $50 - $165.  Second, Cascade is bringing back prize money to the 8 Hour race if the 20 entry minimum is achieved.  Prize money varies depending upon how many cars are in your class.  There is also "Bonus Prize Money" for 1st overall, 2nd overall, and 3rd overall ($500, $250, $100).  The 8 Hour prize money awarded to class winners (excluding bonus prize money) is:  $1000 for classes with 7 or more entries, $750 for classes with 5-6 entries, $500 for classes with 2-4 entries.  1st in class with one car in class and 2nd in class for classes with more than 3 entries receive a $250 discount to the 2017 Cascade enduro.

Enter early:  Enter before September 27th and receive the early entry fee rate.
Also, car numbers are assigned on a first come, first served basis so entering early betters your chance of getting the car number
              you requested.

I'd like to encourage cars entered in the 2 hour and 8 hour races to enter the MIDAS Auto & Tire 300 as well.  It's an extra $30 to enter the extra race.  There is no more track time, but there is another chance for victory and it automatically enters you into the Iron Team competition in which the winning team receives a FREE 2017 Cascade Enduro Entry which this year would have a value of up to $875.00.

Once again the 2016 Cascade Festival of Endurance features three races.  The 8 Hours of the Cascades, the MIDAS Auto & Tire 300, and the 2 Hour Northwest Mini Enduro Championship Series finale.

8 Hours of the Cascades: 1pm - 9pm  From day into night!!  LeMans start!
MIDAS Auto & Tire 300:   1pm - 9pm or until 300 miles (156 laps) are completed.  This race starts at the same time as the 8 Hour but is designed to
be a long enough enduro that doesn't run into the night.  Most cars will complete the race in 3 1/2 - 4 1/2 hours and
before the need for headlights.  LeMans start!
2 Hour:                  10am - 12pm

There is a one hour break between the 2 Hour and 300/8 Hour races which should enable 2 Hour only cars to pack up and exit the track before the start of 8 more hours of racing!!!

Co-drivers may enter online once the car(primary driver) has entered.

If you have any registration problems or questions, please feel free to contact  Race Registrar Gail Fetterman or Race Chairman Chris Heinrich.  Contact info is in the link below.
