Title: Points for ICSCC Weekend Post by Lightning Rod on Aug 22nd, 2017 at 6:38pm
This is just a reminder to everyone who is collecting points towards the SCCBC OW, CW or Class championships.
http://www.sccbc.net/racers/club-championship/2017-sccbc-club-standings/ Three important details: 1) You will need to register for one of the ICSCC classes listed below, in order to have points count toward the SCCBC per Class Championships. 2) Under this year's system, we are racing (within our class) with EVERYONE, not just SCCBC club members! If you are the first club member to finish, but you finish behind 2 visitors, you will get 3rd place points only. 3) There are classes - in particular SM/CSM, SR and FF/CF - where racers in mapped ICSCC classes will be treated as though they where a single "SCCBC class". This will be different from the results as announce at the race weekend. For example: even if I finish 1st in SM, if 2 CSM cars finish in front of me, I will receive 3rd place points. So, even though there might be a SM winner and a CSM winner for each race, only one of them will be awarded 1st place points. I will be racing against all of the SM and CSM cars that show up for the week-end. The same applies to SR and FF/CF racers. If you register for any class other than those listed below, you will still get SCCBC OW/CW Championship Points, but no Class Points will be awarded. This is not a CACC event so no CACC Points will be awarded this weekend. Here are the class mappings:

Just to clarify. If I run CSM, does that mean I still get points towards SM in the SCCBC standings?

Yes. That's what it means.
