Hello everyone,

I have a current FV available for events at Mission. Two CACC dates have been booked. However, the ICSCC events remain open with one CACC available at the end of the year. Call or write for more information.

Hi all, I rented Scott's rental vee for this last cacc weekend. First I would like to thank Scott and Al for making it a great weekend.
Also I would like to fully recommend that more sedan jocks give this a try. I am 5'11" and 240lbs and I felt comfortable in the car. The car was well sorted and fun out of the box.
A great experience, I have already booked the next cacc weekend.
I think the next race is still open for rental, call scott if interested.
Thanks to all the open wheel drivers for a great experience, Hope that I did not hold anyone up.
Thanks again
Lawrence Quinn

Hi all,

Just to clarify.

This is a different Vee than the one Al Ores has for sale. I highly recommend contacting Al @ (604) 421-0170 if you have a sincere interest in purchasing a Vee.

However, if you're interested in trying an actual formula car for a weekend, then contact myself for details.

[glb]there's something about seeing your own spinning tires and the pressure of forced air against your helmet when you're givin'er. It's truely sensory overload.[/glb]
Thank you

Hi Chris,

I prefer to discuss the arrangements with the person themselves. However, if you wish to compare your quote with others you'll find the prices are the same; I have no secrets.

If you're interested call me. I have to wonder though, does this mean you've given up battling Bunbury? ;)

Hey, Mr. Spinny, calling Al a 'big fish' could cause you some serious problems at the next CACC race!! :-X :P :'( ::)

Ray won't have to worry about Al at the next cacc weekend, he will be wallowing around the back of the grid in the old red sled. I get the honor of piloting Als usual steed and scaring the crap out of scott. Now if I could convice Al into jamming that 2180 into the car I could scare the crap out of Ray as well, on second thought I would probably scare myself !. :o

Roland, that's a very confusing post ???
Could you clarify who's racing what, against whom, when!!! As I'll probably be racing my FF in that group 3 race I would really like to know which Stec is in which weapon, :o excuse me, which car ::)

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the interest....but, um....this is my thread.  I'm not renting a thread,  I'm renting a Fomula Vee. Thanks for keeping it alive, though.  Get your own thread.  Anybody else want to rent a vee? ;)

Well,,,,,,getting a little possessive aren't we and just when we having fun!
Start another thread Scott and see how long it takes for one of us to screw that one up ::)
BTW I thought your FV was already rented for the rest of the year, how much thread time do you need to rent one of those tubs :D :D :D

 Hi all .
I would like to applaud Scott for making his second formula vee available for rental. I would recomend the open wheel experience to any of us tin top drivers. Open wheel cars at any level are a blast to drive!  thanks Scott.

Thanks all,

I certainly appreciate the attention. The previous comments have been well received regardless of agenda.

I will mention though the Sep 3-4 weekend, which is a ICSCC weekend, is available with the option of running the Friday practice. In case readers are unaware, CACC licence holders are welcome to run ICSCC races with the car being available for either.

This is the last weekend available this year however, contact me any time to get on the list.

Thank you

Hello all,

This past weekend, I jumped out of a dinghy and landed in water approx. 4.5' deep. Of course this was a surprise, as I had carefully measured the depth of water, whilst wearing my beer goggles, and had made a reserved calculation that it could be no more than knee deep. The result was unfortunate as my cell phone, which was clipped to my belt, was only approx. 4' high.

Needless to say, my phone is busted. Please call me at home @ 604 826-5251 or e-mail arthursix@shaw.ca if you have any inquiries.

BTW, come out and watch Perrin Hayes at the helm of an open wheeled car next CACC race

I can hardly believe my luck, I've just spent four sunny days on Qualicum Beach and I return to find out my 'old' GT5 adversary Perrin will be racing group 3 at the next race.
Bad luck with the 'phone Scott, do they sell a submariner cell??!! ;)

Hello all,

another shameless attempt to rent the FV for the last race of the year. It's a good opportunity for all you guys people with expiring licences to stay current.

In addition, it's a CACC weekend, which means bags of stick time for the same price. Even more if you do the Friday practice. Which might not be a bad idea for those that have not seen a turn station in awhile ;)

Call me for deatils. BTW I was able to resurrect my phone.

The vee is still for rent though. Wait a minute, let me check with oldsport.  ;)

Let me try and revive this thread.

[glb]Christmas is coming, book early [/glb]

I'll hold spots for next years race season at last years pricing. Offer valid until Dec, 25/05  ;)

Pricing will go up a smidge next year but, ask anyone who rented last year and that's all you paid compared to other rentals.

What a gift, a ride in an open wheeled car!

Only the astute would.

Blood could not afford the blue and silver one!  ;)

The blue and orange one however, is the only choice.
I'm not sure yet, if I have the time, it could be blue and white.

Hi all, I rented the Vee from Scott and had a blast. Weather conditions were not great the weekend that I had the car but it was so much fun, I have started to build my own car with the help of Ray at RDC welding in poco.
I do recommend renting first, Scott's rental car was comfortable and sorted right out off the start.
I got training and advice from both Scott and Al.
It was well worth the rental fee.
If my Car is not ready for next year I will rent Scott's car again.
I think this is one of the most affordable types of racing and a good group of people.

Thanks
Lawrence

Is this still available for the coming year at all? I'm an ex-FV driver (1993-97) and I've been watching for a number of years and aiming to come back. This seems like a good first step....

Mathew!

Glad to see that you're thinking of coming back to race at Mission. I am Al's son-in-law and was helping him out when you were racing. I've spoken to you from time to time when you were snooping around the track as well.

I hope you bring your Dad out some time, I genuinely miss the enthusiam both of you had for club racing. It's something I'll never foget.

Give me a call, the car is still available for 2006. Even with your height you'll have no problems fitting it, the car is quite accomodating and comfortable.

I look forward to just talking with you in any case.

Scott,
Well long time no see! It's great to know you are still involved!

I've been out of the loop for a few years now, and things like wife, mortgage and kids have been my biggest focus as of late. (I have baby #2 due on Feb 3)

But I haven't lost the desire to get back in a car. What involved now to get back in a car, rental aside. I know I'd have to get a licence etc - do you know all the steps that would be required? Also, info on your rental, what's involved, etc. would be helpful at this point too.

You can always email me at mjroddis@hotmail.com

Looking forward to coming out to some races this year too. I'll give your best to my dad.

Matthew

Matthew,

I have four children, and they are always at the track. Safest place for them, in my opinion. I hope you bring yours. I understand the quest for more time in day and money in the wallet. Anyone that reads this would not disagree.

As for getting back in the saddle, current personal equipment, a stint with the SCCBC's driver training and you're good-to-go.

I'll e-mail you

All,

Unfortunately the scuderia is closed and am no longer renting for the remainder of 2008. My apologies to those that inquired about the program this season. Personally, it was truly a difficult year to find time to prepare.

Hello Folks,

Bob and I have had some sincere interest lately, even this early in the season! People are learning just how reasonable FV racing is and the FF is not that much more.

We will soon be launching a website that will detail vehicle specifications, pricing schedules, driver suitability and the like.

We hope you'll visit!

Your friends that are delightfully different,

Bob and Scott

What "sound control" device do you guys use on your Vees at Mission. A friend is bringing a Vee for the Historic Motor Races and wants to make sure that he has a) the right stuff, b) is under the noise limit.

Family Affair Racing Team Inc. has added a few more cars this year, and will be availible for the scheduled race weekends at Missions' Rivers Edge Raceway Park. We have also added a '91 Honda civic to our fleet for driver training purposes. Look at www.unionracing.ca or Google, Family Affair racing Team Inc. for more information and give us a call. We just might be able to make your week-end something you will remember for a while. ;D  Thanks for looking.

We have sold the #30 Lynx (flame) car and replaced it with another lynx. There will also be another new car (Lucky Ride) availible for the first w/e. This (RDC) formula vee was constructed in 1988 and has never been on the track. It is virtually a new car.
If you are interested in Driver Training, we can arrange our Honda Civic for you as well. At least this way you have an idea of what you are comfortable racing in. And when your novice training is over you can make a decision on either an open wheel car or a "tin-top" (closed wheel). Make that call! www.unionracing.ca

Hopefully the next w/e there will be 2 more cars availiable and we could have 6 novices racing vees. That would be pretty cool ;D. Hope you guys have a great time this coming Saturday. Scott and I will be "watching". Again. The June race will be our race w/e. Can't wait. ;)  Bob

It's tempting, even if I have my own car now haha.. I think it's a testament to how professional and well sorted you guys are, that I was 2 seconds faster in the Lazer, at my first race EVER (not just on a Vee, but on anything), than a few weeks later with my own car and 6 more sessions of track time!

I'd say it's virtually impossible that anyone, anywhere, provides a better rental experience than you guys. Can't wait to see the new cars out there!

Hi Everyone,

FART has two cars available for the Oct 9/10 weekend.  The Lazer FV and the Caldwell D-13 are available.  If you are interested in a FART Inc. experience, please email Jennifer at [arthursix@shaw.ca] or call 1-604-826-5251.

For next year, along with the Campbell, the Lazer, the D13 and the Reynard, we will have two more cars available: The Protoform P3 and the RDC.   Also, we will be offering seasonal rentals: you pick the car and it is yours for the season, but you must commit to the entire year.  Call Bob or Scott to discuss details if you are interested.

Thank you!
