Title: Thanks for checking out my damaged leg
Post by gogreen on Jul 21st, 2010 at 7:52am
A giant thank you to the paramedics and Dr. Wong who checked my ripped open leg on Sunday after I tripped and landed on my trailer at the end of the day.

They redid the compression bandage that our crew member had put on the seriously bleeding wound to the correct tightness and offered professional comfort.

Thanks also to V.R.C.B.C. member Jean Picard who sat with Pam and I at Mission Hospital emergency for a couple of hours until I got to see a Nurse then Doctor .  Never had stitches , still not, as he put in 28 staples to close the wound.

I guess "Dancing With The Stars" is out for this season eh?  ;) Get well soon. Still got another race or two left, and then to PR Sept. 24/25th. It is written somewhere that "enough Crown Royal will cure anything". Mmmm. ::)

My own Doctor checked it today and the staples are holding nicely.

I have found that Maker's Mark Kentucky straight bourbon whisky, The Black Grouse blended Scotch Whisky and White Owl Whisky ( Calgary) seem to work well to relieve any pain .  In moderation and not prescribed to be enjoyed the same night , of course.

Many thanks for the phone calls and e mails I have been receiving.

Sounds like you've done a fair bit of research Lawrence.  There's probably a health Canada research grant coming your way.

Glad you're on the mend.
