The following bulletin issued by SCCA Technical Office affects Spec Miatas:

SUBJECT: Spec Miata Spec Tire Addition
The Club Racing Board has approved the use of the Toyo Proxes R888 in
addition to the Toyo Proxes RA-1 for Spec Miata National competition effective
immediately. The inclusion of the R888 is in response to limited quantities of the
RA-1 in the United States following the Tsunami in Japan.
Effective immediately add the following language to the first sentence of GCR
section 9.1.8.C.6.c.1: All cars shall use the Toyo Proxes RA1 (205/50R15) or Toyo Proxes R888 (205/50R15).
