You can start here:

http://www.caccautosport.org/CACCcgrs.html

Check out the General Competition Regulations, Race Regulations, and the GCR Appendices.

Drop by the track next weekend  (May 14-15) and talk to some drivers and officials for the short version!

Thanks for the quick reply Richard.

i have read almost all of that yet dont really know where my car fits in? and i dont wanna do anything else on it till i know.

Are there any rules for (ip, ip3, it??) not even sure if those are classes but based on reading and seeing  so far thats what i have  :-/

will try to get out for this weekend but was hoping for some answers before the weekend

If you look at the CACC regulations for the IP classes you will see that they refer you to the SCCA GCR, which is available on-line @
www.scca.com

That's the first set of things you need to study. When you have some specific questions or points which you do not understand, send an e-mail to Jim Kurtz (listed on the SCCBC website contact list as the club's chief tech inspector).

Hope that helps for a start.
