Strange because he can't or won't stop the car, yet manages to get out anyway!

After seeing Jordy's fire and this one, it definitely shows that when you smell smoke or see the SLIGHTEST flame, pull over and get the heck out!!

I noticed the turnworker struggling with the Hans tether.  They are tricky if you have never used one before as the helmet post has two flats which are inline with the slot on the end of the post (looks like a regulat screwdriver slot). If the fitting is not inline with the flats it will not separate.

Perhaps we should consider a show and tell with hands-on practice for our META crew as Hans (FHRS?) are becoming mandatory next year.

Just a thought...

James

If I am laying there injured, please do not try to unclip the HANS, feel free to cut the strap...

Do all the turn workers carry knives to cut straps ect?

Hands on practice is a very good idea....

Good idea Rob - I agree, if there are injuries just cut the strap.
