Double time!!! It's the weekend!!!

Maybe they should poll the workers before they decide to do this.

Great questions. We are running one less race group on Saturday so we can finish early at 3:00 PM and have a 2 hour break for a nice dinner (catered by Valley Catering of course) before restarting at 5:00 PM

We hope everyone can stick around for the race!

Thanks...

I raised this issue at the club meeting last night, and the executive seemed to think that a two hour break and "wining and dining" the workers would be enough.

I don't think the executive has properly considered the effect this may have on the volunteer base.  This will be a 13 and a half hour day at the track for volunteers, most of who will drive at least 1/2 hour to get home.  Then have to get up to be back a the track for an 8 am (or ealier for some) start to Sunday.  That is asking a lot from the club's volunteer base and I can see this being a situation where many people see it as being too much to commit to.

Thank you for your input everyone.  As always, SCCBC will ensure it's volunteers are well looked after.  I had planned on racing in this event, but if we end up not having enough volunteers, I'd certainly give up my seat and be trackside so it can proceed.

Lot's of people hang out at the track until well into the evening on summer nights during the season.

When I attended last months META meeting there was great support for the Enduro and they were really excited.

One way or the other we will make it work.

Hey Steve and David......I just bet you could count on any number of people in the paddock to assist the troops at various corners. Like you say Steve, there are a good number that are there until the gates are locked.....just hanging out....and David....I remember the Vancouver Indy days when 12 hours + was a norm for three days.....just saying :P Count me in, if you need bodies. A sign up sheet at registration for volunteering would help every race w/e leading up to the event. :)

We may also look at compressing the sunday schedule a little and starting a little later Sunday morning.
