Title: SCCA sticker
Post by ReEntry Racer on Mar 28th, 2013 at 8:46pm
No biggie, but I checked the latest rules and I'll need another SCCA Club Racing sticker for my car.  I used up my spares with the last re-paint.  Antone got one I can buy (or borrow and replace)? Leaving for Laguna Seca next week otherwise I'd just order one by mail. :-[

Contact Jim Kurtz. He has some, I believe.

Otherwise, you should be able to get the appropriate stickers when you arrive at Laguna.

If you attend an SCCA race, there should be some stickers available. Usually at Tech.

Good luck at Laguna Larry, fun track :).
Paul Higgins has it on his simulator if you want to practice!

I was worried about that sort of stuff when I went down for an SCCA race at PR. Turned out not to be a big deal at all, but I was running the regional. They did have stickers at tech, but no one checked my very carefully placed decals..

Don't forget you're also supposed to have an SCCA patch on your race suit - also don't think mine was checked, but better safe than sorry! :)

And a decal from the region you belong to on your car.

Thanks for the advice. I do have the patch on the suit, This is not my first trip down. I did this 5 years ago and it truly is worth the time and expense if/when you can get all the stars to align. I'll be using 2 cameras (on and inside the car) so hopefully will have some permanent record of things this time. Warm up at The Ridge first next Saturday 6th and then a slow tourist tow to arrive in Monterey on the 11th. Running ITE as my primary class and GT1 with the crazy-fast cars for some extra adrenaline to keep me busy. Triple races too!
