We deeply regret to announce the passing of Mr. Tony Riddle.

Sadly, SCCBC lost a valued long time member yesterday after a courageous battle with cancer.

Tony Riddle was a 20 year member of the club and a highly regarded member of the Race Drivers Committee.

He spent countless days at the track volunteering his time as an Instructor for club Driver Training days and as a turn worker for club practice days.

Tony was recognizable for his large mustache and just as large grin, not to mention the knobby knees he showed off below his shorts; his preferred track wear.

A talented and respected instructor Tony spent many days and weeks with his friends and colleagues at Morrisport events at our track.

He will be greatly missed.

We will be observing a moment of silence during the drivers meeting on Saturday, as well as flying the CDN flag at half-mast this weekend.  In addition, there will be a special section on the September Race Program in Tony's memory.  More on this next week.

The BMW Club of BC has put a picture tribute to Tony and the great work he did over the years. I lost a great friend and Mentor.
