Title: Jim Clark
Post by oldtransamdriver on Apr 7th, 2015 at 12:57pm
47 years ago to-day we lost a quiet Scottish farmer in a racing accident - the greatest
driver of his era, and perhaps the greatest of all time.

I was privileged to see him race several times.

25 GP wins from 75 starts, he was certainly one of the best all time.
I watched him beat Graham Hill and John Surtees at Brands Hatch in the early sixties (1963?).
Clark in South Bend driving the works Lotus Cortina with one front wheel off the ground; legendary photograph.
Sedan on Saturday, GP car on Sunday and they had fun, great memories😊!

I too remember Watching the great man at Brands Hatch in the early days , and the 3 wheel cortina through Druids was a sight to see . He could do things in a falcon that many today would be jealous of
RIP Jim
