With my big fat head (and other parts)the clearance between my helmet and rollbar may be tight

Is this type of rollbar extension legal?

A couple of things that could help. REduce the padding in your seat. Even a little less padding has a big effect on your height relative to the top of the bar.

If that doesn't work, email myself (michael_currie@telus.net) or Jim Kurtz (j.kurtz@shaw.ca) and we'll open a dialogue.

It's not a great idea to weld on an additional piece to the hoop. Some sanctioning bodies are OK with it, but in the event of a rollover it's vulnerable.

Better to talk it over with us first.
