Title: Novice looking for a little guidance
Post by Cool Hand Luke on Apr 29th, 2018 at 1:53pm
car is done, i have no track time experience with it and it has NOT passed tech.

so i am hoping to try the car out the coming weekend.

I see there is no practice day friday. I was hoping to get some time in the car to dial it in, and well have easy first experience.

So i am considering entering time attack as apposed to the 2nd round Cacc but my license does not show time attack "approved"

When is "tech" 8am SAT morning ? I believe my car will pass but what happens if it does not? Hence why i figured time attack may be better until i get the bugs worked out.Does the passing and non passing time attack differ from race regulations? will the tech scrutineer be able too do both in the morn?

Should i register a parking spot at the track?

You can show up to the race track this Friday after 5pm and go through registration/tech. Jim, Mike, and Al will be there and able to give your car an annual if it complies with CACC regs.

I’m not sure what the deal is with Novice licensing and eligibility for time attack, getting in touch with Doug Floer the CACC license guy would be a good idea, he’d be able to answer your question.

I would suggest reserving your own paddock spot for the year so you know where you’re pitted all year. It’s not necessary but the last thing you want on your mind heading to the race track is where you’re going to be pitted. Being prepared and having a clear head is a big part of racing!

Hey Mr Cool
Paddock request can be done on your entry or by contacting Rod Davison.
Hope to see you racing this weekend!

You can request a paddock space as part of your entry. If you need assistance or have a special request you can email Rod at paddockmarshal@sccbc.net
