Title: CACC #5 Registration Online! (July 25/26 2020)
Post by Forum Admin on Jul 13th, 2020 at 8:52am
Race, Crew and Volunteer registration is finally open on MotorSportReg.com for the July 25/26 race weekend.

There are a lot of changes in place due to Covid-19 restrictions, so please read everything thoroughly and ensure you have completed all required paperwork before coming to the track.

Drivers are restricted to 1 crew and crew must register on the Volunteer registration link on MotorSportReg.

Saturday and Sunday are restricted to 50 entries per day, so CW1, OW2 and Novices will run on Saturday, and CW2, OW1 and Vintage on Sunday. Drivers wanting to run in multiple Groups can do so. There will be 3 races per day for senior race groups and 2 races for Novice & Vintage race groups. The schedule will be published in the Event Package on the Schedule page when it is finalized.

There will be a non-refundable $100 deposit collected closer to the event since we only have space for 50 drivers per day, and we need to ensure registrations are honored.

There will be no on-site registration. Everything must be done prior to coming to the track. This includes the following:

1. Everyone entering the track must have a CACC Annual Waiver or have signed the online waiver BEFORE coming to the track: https://signnow.com/s/fyTXh4ZK

2. Everyone MUST also complete the following Covid-19 Self-Declaration and bring it with them: http://www.sccbc.net/data/2020/Covid_Self_Decl.pdf

3. Drivers please download and complete your Tech Sheet before coming to the track. The Tech Sheet must be displayed in a predominant location in your pit so the Tech inspectors can see them when they come around to each car. www.sccbc.net/data/2020/TechForm_2020.pdf

4. All vehicle Log Books must have a 2019 CACC Annual Tech sticker. Anyone without a 2019 sticker will need to arrange with Jim Kurtz for an inspection prior to July 22nd. (See www.sccbc.net Contacts page)

Thank you!

A note to all drivers. Please read through all of the information provided on MotorsportReg and in the event package before asking me any questions. I have been inundated with questions that are answered in the information provided.

Paddock allocations are managed by our Paddock Marshal (paddockmarshal@sccbc.net), and volunteer questions should be sent to Tasma Wooton (tasmahrt@shaw.ca).

Thank you.

Why did the practice day get cancelled? Has someone rented that track that we might be able to tag onto? I was hoping to get some extra time by practicing on the Friday.

You will need to contact Gary Kwong at SPEED FANATICS to sign up. That will need to be done beforehand. Not at the track.

The Race Announcements and Schedule have been updated and posted to the Event Package on the SCCBC Schedule page. The main changes are the start time on Saturday is now 8:30AM and the gates open at 6:30AM on Saturday, and 15 minute qualifying sessions on both days. If you click the link and get the old schedule then you'll have to clear your browser cache to get the updated one.

Drivers, you need to remember to include your crew on your entry and ensure they have registered as crew on MotorsportReg on the Volunteer registration, or they won't be allowed to enter the track. Several crew have indicated which driver they are crewing for but the drivers have not indicated who their crew will be, and vice-versa.

End of day Saturday there is a Time attack event starting at 5 PM. Saturday Racers who are not entered for Sunday are required to pack up promptly and vacate the paddock area in order to allow the time attack participants to move in.  Persons who are staying overnight for the Sunday event should not mingle with the time attack participants and are requested to stay clear of their designated Paddock area. Please clear out during the Time Attack event if possible.

Blue flags: there may be less flaggers on the corners than you are used to. As a result drivers should not depend on blue flags and should be aware of other vehicles at all times.

Covid-19 safety: Do not come to the track if you are not feeling well. You must bring with you the completed Covid-19 Self declaration. Physically distance and wear a mask where required.

Thank you and see you next weekend.

All of the required forms have been added to the Event Package, so they should be easy to find...
