I can hardly believe my luck, I've just spent four sunny days on Qualicum Beach and I return to find out my 'old' GT5 adversary Perrin will be racing group 3 at the next race.
Bad luck with the 'phone Scott, do they sell a submariner cell??!! Wink

Hello all,

another shameless attempt to rent the FV for the last race of the year. It's a good opportunity for all you guys people with expiring licences to stay current.

In addition, it's a CACC weekend, which means bags of stick time for the same price. Even more if you do the Friday practice. Which might not be a bad idea for those that have not seen a turn station in awhile Wink

Call me for deatils. BTW I was able to resurrect my phone.

Scott, you should check with Ray Stec, the last few years there hasn't been a practice before the last race. Undecided

What next? No Santa? No Easter Bunny?

all right, all right; no Practice.

The vee is still for rent though. Wait a minute, let me check with oldsport.  Wink

Let me try and revive this thread.

Christmas is coming, book early

I'll hold spots for next years race season at last years pricing. Offer valid until Dec, 25/05  Wink

Pricing will go up a smidge next year but, ask anyone who rented last year and that's all you paid compared to other rentals.

What a gift, a ride in an open wheeled car!

Only the astute would.

Blood could not afford the blue and silver one!  Wink

The blue and orange one however, is the only choice.
I'm not sure yet, if I have the time, it could be blue and white.

Hi all, I rented the Vee from Scott and had a blast. Weather conditions were not great the weekend that I had the car but it was so much fun, I have started to build my own car with the help of Ray at RDC welding in poco.
I do recommend renting first, Scott's rental car was comfortable and sorted right out off the start.
I got training and advice from both Scott and Al.
It was well worth the rental fee.
If my Car is not ready for next year I will rent Scott's car again.
I think this is one of the most affordable types of racing and a good group of people.

Thanks
Lawrence

Is this still available for the coming year at all? I'm an ex-FV driver (1993-97) and I've been watching for a number of years and aiming to come back. This seems like a good first step....

Mathew!

Glad to see that you're thinking of coming back to race at Mission. I am Al's son-in-law and was helping him out when you were racing. I've spoken to you from time to time when you were snooping around the track as well.

I hope you bring your Dad out some time, I genuinely miss the enthusiam both of you had for club racing. It's something I'll never foget.

Give me a call, the car is still available for 2006. Even with your height you'll have no problems fitting it, the car is quite accomodating and comfortable.

I look forward to just talking with you in any case.

Scott,
Well long time no see! It's great to know you are still involved!

I've been out of the loop for a few years now, and things like wife, mortgage and kids have been my biggest focus as of late. (I have baby #2 due on Feb 3)

But I haven't lost the desire to get back in a car. What involved now to get back in a car, rental aside. I know I'd have to get a licence etc - do you know all the steps that would be required? Also, info on your rental, what's involved, etc. would be helpful at this point too.

You can always email me at mjroddis@hotmail.com

Looking forward to coming out to some races this year too. I'll give your best to my dad.

Matthew

Matthew,

I have four children, and they are always at the track. Safest place for them, in my opinion. I hope you bring yours. I understand the quest for more time in day and money in the wallet. Anyone that reads this would not disagree.

As for getting back in the saddle, current personal equipment, a stint with the SCCBC's driver training and you're good-to-go.

I'll e-mail you

All,

Unfortunately the scuderia is closed and am no longer renting for the remainder of 2008. My apologies to those that inquired about the program this season. Personally, it was truly a difficult year to find time to prepare.

Here's to '09
