Looking for CW rental for Aug 7/8 weekend
Jul 7th, 2010 at 11:15am

Hey Gang,

I'm looking to rent a CW car for a novice race on the Aug 7/8 weekend.  I went through the Driver Training in March - which was big fun - to get my senior SoloSprint licence, and have done a couple of events so far this year in my essentially stock 99 Corvette FRC.  I had intended to do more, but work and such has kept me away.  I'm hoping to remedy that in August.  My Novice Race licence says CW2 - which I believe refers to the number I've been assigned - I'm not sure if that restricts me to the type of car I can drive.

If anyone has a vehicle available - let's talk!

Cheers,
Darwin.

I should also put out there, that I'd also look at running a Formula-V that weekend instead.  I'm used to big torquey cars, but from what I understand - the V's offer a unique challenge and experience.  It's all good.

Cheers,
Darwin.

give Bob Williams or Scott Arthur a call for a FV rental. Check out their website at www.Unionracing.ca

FV is the most fun you can have at the track on 20L of 94 octane for a weekend......competitive and a great bunch of drivers.

Well, the OW Mafia has done it's job - nice meeting the Gang on Saturday.  Looking forward to piloting the D13 in a few weeks!

Cheers,
Darwin.

Well - what a fun day!  Thanks to Bob and Scott and the whole gang for facilitating my first race.  Scott's pointers helped to shave about 5 seconds off my lap time between qualifying and the race.  Another 5 seconds and I might start to be competative!

It was quite the visceral experience, nothing like front wheel spray into the visor and an engine screaming away just behind your head to keep you on your toes!

Cheers,
Darwin.
