If you have an old battery operated transponder that has a dead battery, the SCCBC will pay you $50 for it, and you can then use that $50 towards purchasing a new one (I like the hard wired ones).

AMB will no longer replace the batteries in the old ones. We have found someone to do the replacements but the results are not guaranteed. We need some additional transponders for our rental stock and this will be a cost effective way to achieve this.

If you don't want to sell us your transponder, but would like it repaired, and are willing to take the chance that the battery replacement process may fail, then also let me know and I'll arrange to have yours done. Payment will be required up-front.
