Van Diemen RF89 F1000

I know that it's late in the season, but I'm not going to be racing anymore so this car has to go.  I believe that this car is familiar to some of you in Vancouver.  I bought it from Gord Leach in Regina.

RF89 Van Diemen Formula Ford

• 1.6L Ford engine and transaxle were replaced with a Yamaha R1, 1000cc bike engine.
• 155 hp, under 800 lbs.
• 12,500 rpm redline. At 10,000 the power really comes on. Very quick car.
• 6 spd sequential bike transmission, chain drive
• 3 piece Compomotives w/ black centres (13x8 Rear, 13x6 Front) with Hoosier slicks. Gord kept the gold centre wheels in the pics, mine are otherwise identical
• The belts in the pics were replaced with camlock, pull up, 6 point belts.  Have only been used once, but I think they’ve expired as of July of this year.  I got them from Elite belts in Disdbury, AB so rewebbing will be inexpensive.
• $10,000.  No spare wheels at this price, but I do have a couple more sets of wheels and tires available.
• Currently located in Calgary.

Please also check the link to the Calgary Sports Car Club for some comments on the car.
