New car logbook
Dec 23rd, 2010 at 2:39pm

Just wondering what the procedure is for getting an initial tech and a logbook for a freshly built car.   It won't be ready until April, just gettin' ahead of myself a bit.  Grin

It would be great if we could organize a pre-season annual tech - for those of us building new cars it would give us a few weeks or days to remediate items before the first race.

Maybe at the track two weekends before the race?  A few laps at road speeds would be nice but I think that would be a bit optimistic....

Don't they usually do this? I remember last year, when I was doing my driver training thing, a bunch of cars showed up for tech inspection.. Maybe.?

The CACC Scrutineers have had an annual tech day at the track for the past several years on the Sunday of the first drivers training. Turnout has so far been limited to about 5 cars in the best year. We will try again this year. If there is a practice day on the Friday before the first race we will try to do as many annuals as time and people permit. The cars must be ready to race!! CACC log books will be available for issue.
