Road racing, not street racing!

Next weekend`s race is called the Volunteer Appreciation Weekend, and since that is the chosen name for the event, why not put some action into those words.
We race thanks to them, the corner workers, E-crew, race control ,timing/scoring, paddock staff, tech people, pre-grid folks, registration etc etc.
I propose that all drivers consider bringing something to the track as a gift to the volunteers. A $5 or $10 Tim Horton`s card, Starbucks card, Safeway card, or a large box of donuts, veggie platter, cookies, pop, 12 wobbly pops, a bottle of wine maybe or what have you.
Gifts that can not be consumed during the weekend could go into a raffle to be drawn at the end of the day. These are just some ideas, but if you prefer to take a few volunteers with you on your next trip to Hawaii, hey, that could work.
All kidding aside, give it some thought, and show YOUR appreciation to the folks that help make our racing fun possible.
See you Saturday. Michael Lensen President SCCBC.
