Sandblasting..
Sep 6th, 2011 at 11:16am

Howdy! Anyone know a good (and by good, I mean cheap) place to get some wheels sandblasted?

I thought about buying the small bench cabinet from princess auto (apparently FV wheels will fit in there) - but I'd need a compressor too. Gotta wait for xmas for that one. Anyway, I need to get 4 (possibly 8.. if it's a lot cheaper than I expect!) wheels blasted. Doesn't need to be all that thorough either, it's just a vee!

redi-blast uses a medi crushed walnut material for paint removal. there is also a mobile "wet media" blast company. they come to you. not sure what the name is. they're in the L/M.

Sure, as long as you won't need the fibreglass.....try the media-blast guys on River Road in Delta, just opposite the big tire store. They have medias that don't damage non-metal, may be walnut shell, even heard of dry-ice once, but.???

Enjoy Grin

Sounds complicated Smiley Thanks guys. I'll head out to U-Blast this Saturday, hopefully and see how it goes with the wheels.

The body might just need some elbow grease and a bit of patience!
