4x100mm Versus 4x3"? (Read 4,585 times)

Tedd Spectator Offline GMP Racing (Genuinely Modern Pleasures) Posts: 35 BC, Canada	4x100mm Versus 4x3"? Feb 22^nd, 2012 at 3:46am I'm shopping for used wheels and finding lots that are 4 x 100 mm bolt pattern, but my car (vintage) is 4 x 3 inch bolt pattern. Three inches is awfully close to 100 mm, so I'm thinking that these two bolt patterns may just be two ways of saying the same thing. Does anyone know if that's true?

Bob and I talked about it off line and I think he's right that, while 4 x 100mm and 4 x 4" are close, they're not the same thing.
