Tube Frame GT1 Project - Calgary
Mar 7th, 2012 at 7:19pm

For sale is my race partners project.  A locally built tube frame which remains needing completion. Intended to run in GT1/GTS with a turbocharged Toyota engine but could accommodate a variety of V8s.  Three link Speedway Engineering quick change axle, double front wishbone suspension, AVO adjustable coilovers.

Obviously this project is not for the faint of heart, but would be a good start for someone contemplating such a project for track or hill climbs etc. There is a major amount of work completed constructing the fame alone.

Brakes are from a Porsche 944 turbo, and the steering rack (which grew legs) can be sourced from a non power steering Porsche 944 from 1983 or 1984. I'm trying to locate a replacement rack right now.

The frame along with CAD drawings, axle, rad, dry sump tank, coil-overs, and brakes $3000 (disregard the price in my link which say $7000 that was a couple years ago). The tilton pedal assembly is long gone, as is the intercooler sitting in front of the rad.

For more info contact me at fstrnu at shaw dot ca  or 403 804-4680

edit: the car is located in Calgary.

Also includes the fuel cell which is not pictured.
