MARV JONES HONDA
presents
THE HONDA CHALLENGE

HEY HONDA GUYS

I have submitted the rules from the last Honda Challenge to the SCCBC and hope to have at least one maybe 2 HONDA /ACURA races added in the place of the WSC time slots

I will once again approach MARV JONES HONDA in Maple Ridge and PERFORMANCE Honda in Chilliwack for some extra goodies for the guys.

HOPE TO GET A GOOD TURNOUT.

I am adding Bspec Hondas aswell to the list of cars.

HONDA CHALLENGE RULES

This will be two 20 minute HONDA Challenge races with NO pit stop and a STANDING START for both. Each driver must supply a crew member to assist with lining up the car in its assigned position on the front straight for the standing start.

The organizer of the Honda Challenge race may choose to invert several of the top finishers from the Saturday race to start at the rear of the field for the Sunday race. The number will be chosen before the race has begun and brought to the attention of the Race Steward.

Trophies will be awarded for a combined result from both races.

Cars must be safety prepped to NASA, SCCA, CACC , or ICSSC standards / classes and present a current log book at tech.

The organizer of this race has the right to reclassify any cars as they see fit before the qualifying has begun, and class any cars that are not listed in the spec below.

HONDA CHALLENGE CLASSES

HC1 - (Slicks permitted)

Acura - NSX, TSX, TL

WE HAVE ENOUGH HONDAS

BUT

I am also currently working on a JAPANESE SHOOTOUT race that would include MAZDA , HONDA , TOYOTA, NISSAN cars

Its just alot harder to class the different cars to run against eachother.

Have you considered classing the cars by time brackets and then penalizing the cars that break out of their chosen bracket with a stop and go penalty?  Grin

Too soon?

Hmmm, I would hope to work on getting quicker as a driver as time goes on, even in a car that does not change. But thats not for everyone of course.

Keith , I never have any idea what you are talking about , Racing isnt free, and you always seem to think that anyone who buys a new set of tires is out spending you to the top.
"STOP TAKING TIRES OFF THE TIRE WALLS AND BUY A NEW SET" , Who knows you may actually win  Kiss

PS , keep a Seat open for me on a Conference weekend in that RED ROCKET, should I bring my own tires?

Dood
ICSCC weekend, it's a date! We'll split the second entry ($30 each?) is that fair?
It'll be a lot of fun and cheap too, then maybe you will understand 'what I'm talking about'. One on one competition without spending a lot of money Wink!

Chris,
If I wanted to enter my new car, what class would it be in? It's a full tube frame RWD with a sequential gearbox. I'm running a stroked 2.4 with a big turbo making around 650-700HP.

Oh ya, and a really big wing too.
