Windshield crack repairs at the track
Jul 6th, 2012 at 6:58pm

If anyone is interested in having cracks repaired in their windshield, let me know.
DECO Windshield Repair, is always set up on w/e s at the Junction shopping center across from the racetrack.

I approached the guy today with the idea of him coming to one of our races to repair race car windshields. I know what a hassle it can be to load and transport a race car for that sort of thing. So I thought maybe we could have that service offered to all of us on site during a race w/e.

He was more than interested, since apparently he has done drag race events before.

So I would like to get an idea of how many people are interested. My racecar has at least 2 cracks, that are only going to get worse. He told me the fee is only $35 for the first one, and $15 for ea one after that. So since you cannot get insurance to repair them on racecars, I think it is a good deal, and you do not need to transport your racecar anywhere.

I was planning to give him some idea of the number of cars he can expect to do, about a week or two, before our ICSCC race in Sept.
I am not sure if he can stay for a whole day or maybe just a half, but that will depend on the responses.

Ps and yes I am going to try to get him to do some sponsorship as well Smiley

The guy did this one other time on a FRIDAY practice and waived his travel fee cause he did about 6 cars,  Most guys have at least one crack or chip
they can also stop cracks from spreading
