Does E Crew have pumps handy for helmet removal systems? If not maybe we should make sure they have them and then educate drivers on the advantages of having one.

This is something that should be on the wish list , maybe Drivers Edge can give us a good price . does any one have one installed in their helmet , thank you Lorenzo for bringing this up . but we still have to work on accessability to be able to remove the helmet  in the car . we have to be able to cover our Bases   . Thanks for your expected input

Bob,
I think this is the chicken and egg thing, I for one plan on buying one for next season, but not much point in having it unless E Crew has the pumps. I'm sure if we announced to the community that pumps were available if required it would lead people to consider purchasing it for their helmets.
Yes, Drivers Edge is a dealer. As far as the pumps go they're so inexpensive that procuring them would not be a problem.

I have been to races where I have known that the safety crews used these devices before removing the driver from a wreck. But I'm not an expert, I think it would be wise to engage Doc Wong for an opinion.

So, while you buying the fitting for your helmet, buy the E-crew a pump. That'll solve your problem....... won't it?

Mike,
I'm assuming you're comment was tongue and cheek, but it forces me to reply, respectfully of course.
I didn't say I (or anyone else) had a problem. As a matter of fact I said getting pumps "would not be a problem", and sure I'd be happy to purchase one for E Crew, the least I could do.

Now don't go reading things into these postings. I wasn't trying to be snarky. My implication was that, should you purchase the piece for the helmet, to ensure there was a pump available when needed, you should buy a pump for the E-crew.

That's self-preservation, isn't it?

maybe we should have the version  that is used for people who dont have the system installed . a price quote from Drivers edge could be submitted to the executive . maybe we should discuss this further with Keith and Mike .its not that we like to have a lot of toys on the safety trucks we just want to be prepaired . after all SAFETY is job 1
