Season Ending Enduro
Sep 24th, 2012 at 12:50pm

Information regarding the 4-Hour season ending endurance race is now on the main page of the website.  A link to the Supp Reg's will be posted right below the info page very shortly.

50% of the entry fee goes towards prize money.  We also now have at least 2 sponsors agreeing to inject additional prize money, further details will be forthcoming.

A minimum of 15 cars will be required for this race to happen.

This race will see over 2 hours of driving time in the dark, so sign up today and experience the thrill of night racing!

The Supp Regs can be found HERE.

Only 1 entry per car. When the first driver selects the Enduro entry on MotorsportReg there will be the option of adding up to 3 more drivers to the entry.

If you are at all confused about how to enter, please email me.

Thanks.

Don't dsee any entries on the motorsportreg.com site for the Enduro. Is that separate somewhere? How many?

MY 2 cents

I dont think you are going to get many people wanting to stay at the track on Thanksgiving till about 8:30-9pm and get home whenever?

I think the club should have looked at the SATURDAY for the enduro

Its great that its end of the year, but just bad timing

maybe if no one enters we can do a HARE and HOUND race again. THAT LOOKED ENTERTAINING

The day probably has a huge impact on entry. Personally I don't mind being late for the family thanksgiving dinner, but I am not looking forward to missing it entirely. And I am pro enduro. All that said, the thanksgiving Sunday was the traditional date of the Westwood 7 hour enduros.

unfortunately, some others don't have quite so understanding "significant others" and family. It could have a bearing on the entry.

Of course, as PigPen pointed out, it is the day we used to run the annual 7-Hour race at Westwood, BUT, that was 20 something years ago. People have lost the habit.

At this point I'd recommend that everyone cross everything they can have (eye, fingers, toes, knees, etc) and hope for decent weather. That pit lane will be an ugly place to be if it rains and is cold.

Oh well. We'll see what we'll see.

Nixon had 16 confirmed as of last Sunday.  Hopefully they all make good on their intentions.

We are having security stay overnight on Sunday, so any who don't want to pack up in the dark Sunday night can do so on Monday.

The paddock will be well lit as well.

Good times!

With no late-entry fee and no deadline, is it possible that folks are waiting until the weekend to see if their car survives before the enter?

That could mean that it will still be uncertain whether this enduro is a go or not until Sunday afternoon.

It might have been better to put a deadline of some sort on the thing.

On the Sunday of the last race the volunteers were told the enduro would only run if there were a minimum of 15 entries.  As of right now there are only 11 on motorsportreg.com, is the enduro running or not?
