Hi everyone,

I was very interested in finally bringing my dream to life and starting to participate in either autocross or road racing events.

Before I start though, I was wondering what kind of budget should I be expecting?

-- I noticed membership costs $60 - but is it per year? Per month? or per event?

-- How much are the events? (Or where can I find this info

)

-- How bad is the tire wear? (I know it's very dependent on your car, tires and driving style, but what worries me is if I will have to change tires and breaks every 2 events?)

Other then that, I am dreaming to finally take my car to the track! Cheesy

Membership in the club is $60.00 per year. License fee will depend on what you want to participate in.

Rather than try and answer your questions on here, why don't you come out to the Mission track on the weekend of an event. That would allow you to talk to various people, ask question, and see what's what. I'll be there around mid-day doing some annual inspections (if anyone turns up).

One of the best methods of getting started is to spend a year (or so) as a corner person. There's lots to learn from there.

Come on out next Sunday and have a look when the Driver Training is on. It's worth your time.
