practise days open to LAPPING cars?? (Read 4,512 times)

Jun 9^th, 2013 at 10:27pm HI Loved the lapping day on JUN 8......just a question and not sure who to ask ,but would Practise day be open to someone with CACC race licence,registered for LAPPING @ race Saturday?? Hopefully someone else can chime in here and confirm that. Marc

By that I guess I mean, are they "sanctioned". If not, then it would be up to the organizing group/club as to what they allowed, wouldn't it? Be just the same as a track day as far as I can see. But, I'll add the usual caveat of saying I could be wrong.

If lapping cars were to be included in a practice day, we would need to create a third group for that. Currently, the SCCBC practice days have an open wheel and a closed wheel rotation for race prepared vehicles.

Race cars cannot be on track with non-race prepared cars.

The lapping group will need to grow in size for a while yet before we can begin to consider this.

Reply #4 - Jun 10^th, 2013 at 9:02pm We (Vintage Racing Club) attempted to include 'Lapping' cars on our May 24th. date but had to cancel the group with only 2 cars registered. We felt that a minimum of 10 cars would be needed to make it fair to all competitors.
