Shock dyno?

I'm rebuilding my shocks and would love to make a couple runs on the dyno to check for any issues and get a baseline. I've heard of a motorcycle shop with a nice shock dyno in Abbotsford, but that'll be hard to get to during the week, does anyone know of another dyno nearer Vancouver?
As a side note, I could build a shock dyno and already have some of the parts needed. It would take me some time and maybe $1000 worth of parts to build. I just can't justify the expense based on how little I'll use it. If anyone wants to cover the parts, I'll build it for you, provided you let me use it afterwards
this would be a 2 or 3hp dyno with adjustable stroke and variable shaft speeds, with a load cell.
It won't be as fancy as a Roehrig dyno, mostly because I don't think I can get the software quite as polished, but.. It won't cost anywhere near a Roehrig either.
