Canadian License
Jan 27th, 2014 at 3:23pm

OK What is the real skinny on getting a Canadian license?
I have had one in the past (like 1989)
I have had an SCCA National since.
Do I really need to go though onother medical?

Check with the CACC Lciense Director. I know that CACC will accept a ICSCC medical and vice-versa, so they may also accept a copy of your SCCA one as well.

Yes, if you want to run a Canadian (BC) event you will need a CACC license.

It's very simple - if you are a Canadian Resident and want to race at a CACC ASN/FIA sanctioned event, you must do so with that license.

If you are NOT a Canadian Resident, you may use another license recognized by CACC ASN/FIA at such an event.

Where do you see that?  Where did I say anything about CACC having anything to do with an ICSCC event?

In case you forgot, we've been through all this before.  Don't try and start controversy that does not exist Larry.  The club is in a great place right now and doesn't need negative influences around it.

CACC does accept current SCCA medical forms and ICSCC medical forms. ICSCC accepts CACC medicals. Instructions are on the CACC licence application available online www.caccautosport.org

Since you have recent experience and licence(s), you would not have to do a school or novice program. Very simple...

Canadian residents entering a CACC
sanctioned
race are required to have a Canadian licence - CACC or ASN Canada National. Canadians may also have an ICSCC, SCCA or other licence, they just cannot use these for CACC sanctioned events...

How about using a CACC instructor license for a Test Day?

I'm sorry if I got that wrong.  I will be able to run the ICSCC weekend at Mission with my Conference license then.

wow it's amazing how kwik Canadians / BC residents are to support American clubs and organizations before they will support Candian clubs and organizations and then wonder why we go nowhere.
There is politics in all clubs so get used to it SCCA is full of it and besides it's only $35.00 for a lic so why not support our own its all we have before its gone Wink
