Curious!!!

I'm curious to hear about any new cars that may be appearing. Who's got what? New or used---doesn't matter. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's keen to get on with the racing season.

If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. Mark Donohue

On a serious note, from what I can see in the rules if I want to run this car as a second entry for my Son it also can run in GTM as long as the log book states it is an IP car.
Is this correct and are those classes separated by closed wheel 1 and closed wheel 2 ????

You are correct , IPE is cw1 and GTM is cw2 . I am sure you could run both . I run IP1 in cw1 and GTO as a second entry in cw2 .

In order to run inn the GT classes you need all the GT safety equipment like a fuel cell, fire suppression, window clips, etc. You
may
be able to enter just to get track time, but you definitely can't run for points, and you will probably be DQ'd for not complying with the class requirements.

Hmmm this is right out of the CACC rule book.
17.3 Improved Production cars entered in GTS Category
A To allow CACC members an opportunity to compete in GTS category as an
additional entry, cars whose logbooks states the car is an IP category car may be
entered in GTS category.
Cars so entered need only conform to the vehicle safety standards required of IP category,
provided that in all other respects, the car complies completely with IP category rules.
Has something changed?

As I remember when we wrote this rule, the GTS entry in question MUST first be entered in an IP class for that race event. The allowance into a GTS class is only for a secondary race entry.

Thanks for the input. That is the plan, log book will be an IP car and that will always be the first entry.
Thanks again
