I remember hearing something about the club possibly approaching our local academic venues re: having a broadcast student announce our races, maybe as part of their practicum?. Does anyone know if this has been looked at? I think there is huge value in having our races called and appreciate that our own volunteers cannot always be available for the task.

I don't have any contacts per say, but am willing to help out with contacting some schools.
