**SOLD** 1988 Honda Civic for Sale - GTU/FIP

I’ve raced this car for ten years now, and would like to move to the next level. This car was my introduction to racing, and has served me extremely well. It’s been an easy care to learn with, both with race-craft and maintenance.

Best qualifying time at Mission is 1:17:80

Currently runs in GTU(CACC) and FIP(ICSCC)
Could be easily modified to GTlite with an airbox and single inlet restrictor.

1) 1,840lbs dry weight
2) Full competition roll cage
3) D16A6 engine
4) Head heavily modified
      a. Shaved to increase compression
      b. Ported and Polished
      c. “O”-ringed
5) Trick pistons (don’t know what they are, just not stock)
6) Strengthened connecting rods with case modified to fit
7) Twin 40DCOE Webbers with ultra rare TRW intake manifold
8) Adjustable rear toe plates
9) API 10.5 US gallon fuel cell
10) Re-located battery to passenger compartment
11) Kirkey Race Seat
12) Fire System plumbed in to passenger compartment and engine bay
13) Quaife limited slip differential
14) 4.7 final drive
15) Three sets of 7X13 lightweight rims
16) Runs on 94 octane pump gas.

Looks like I'm going back to the track with my trusty Honda!

I'm a little red-faced to admit that I raced all last year with the timing out by "half-a-tooth". Shocked

Here I thought it was old age catching up with me. I changed the head gasket on my own before the season started, and therein was the problem.

Compression is back up to 240psi (from 165psi).

The car needs only minor things at this stage.
1.) I found out the safety net is out of date and needs to be replaced
2.) The car could use some tinkering with the main jets to maximize power, but this is being really picky.

The car fits nicely into FIP in Conference, and is very competitive. In GTU, not so much, since there are a number of Honda's running K20 engines in that class.

With a bit of work, minor expense, it could be a GT lite car, which would be more suitable than GTU.

That is for sure Lorenzo. This a very good deal since the car has always been very fast and reliable. Hell the cage and seat alone are getting close to that cost if starting from new.
