Rick Paylne 10th in FF
Billy Brite (aka Bill O'Kell) 15 or so in FP

Unfortunately the competitive advantage our guys might have if it rained doesn't look likely.

But, they're there and that's something. Tick that off the bucket list.

Congrats to all of these guys who made the commitment to get there and compete. Hargrove who basically totalled his car in Seattle (racing incident) earlier this season and Collin J. who is 3 for 3 at the Runoffs. Not sure how many racers could pull that off…………….. odds are huge against that happening.

You have to see these cars to believe them Robert, spectacular condition. Huffaker's mini is the one he made in to RWD with the engine 'north/south'!!
I saw two of his 'spare' A series engines sitting in the paddock, you can barely recognize them with Gilmer belts and scavenge pumps!
Bill O'Kell was driving one of his Midgets. Huffaker had 7 or 8 cars in his stable. He has garages at the Sonoma track.

Amazingly cool 510!! Are those rocker panels I see there?

I asked Peter Zekert about the types of motors run this year, here is his reply:

"The winning car was an unrestricted MG Midget/BL engine; second place a restricted Datsun L18; third place a restricted Mazda rotary 12A; fourth place me unrestricted; 5th place a restricted Mazda 1.8; and 6th place a restricted Honda 1.6. " I think Peter's was an A-series, if unrestricted that would be a 1.3

So S.I.R. was 2nd, 3rd, 5th & 6th. Unrestricted was 1st and 4th with 5 different manufacturer's out of the top 6.

Hope everyone got home safely Smiley
