Medical Insurance

I have been informed by BCAA that they have raised their premium for "Speed Event" in the US medical coverage by 400 to 500%.
Is there another insurance company that will cover drivers from Canada that want to race in the US.
Also, if you holiday in the US and within your holiday, participate in a race e.g. 3 days, you have to have the race medical insurance for the entire time you are away not just the duration of the race.
Thanx
Bruce

YIKES!!  I wish I did know of another.

I've always used BCAA and am about to renew.
Last year I had a 100% increase due to tipping into my 65th year.
I'll have to brace myself when I walk in there next month!

Spoke to BCAA again today and they say they have a 3 -5 day rate that is $58 to $75 per occasion.. You must get coverage for the entire number of days you are away racing even though the track time may only be two days.
Better than buying a years coverage.

I just looked online and their rate seems to be $132 (that's the extra for the speed contest) same as it was for me last year.  There may be some age adjustments that others will have to factor in.  The total with their Travel Medical was 188.10 for me.

This was for 1 year of coverage (June to June).  $1000 deductible. Multiple trips of 8 days or fewer.
