Road racing, not street racing!

Let me preface this by saying what I suspect most know: I consider the folks at F.A.R.T my good friends. I've been renting the garage space next to Bob's garage for the past three years, and I've come to know everyone down there pretty well.
I don't know exactly what happened, but if what I've gleaned from this thread and personal conversations is true, I think we, as a club, owe Bob, Pam, Scott & Jennifer...
...and all the FV people who look forward to coming up for this race...
...an apology.
Does it sound like there was a lack of communication? Yes. Clearly, the club did not communicate to Family Affair Racing Team that this year they would not get the same allotment of time as they had in years past. And in the absence of that communication, I think they (F.A.R.T.) were right in assuming that this year would be like the year before, and the year before that, etc., etc.
Did F.A.R.T "choose" to withdraw? Sure, but only because they were no longer going to be able to offer a whole lot of people (some of whom were going to come a very long way; Arizona for instance) the experience that they had very reasonably assumed they were going to be able to offer. In the face of that, what "choice" did they really have?
I will say, I don't know the whole story, and if anyone would like to offer some explanation of how it is that F.A.R.T ended up with a one-day schedule...
...without their knowing it...
...I'm all ears.
For my part, I'm very sorry that there won't be a FART race this year. I had a blast last year racing with them.
